Fishbone Engineering’s CPS offers a turn key solution for pipe pressure-testing, rotating equipment installation, system turnover and commissioning services. This is accomplished through integrating procedures from the inception of the engineering process that focus on project completion. These procedures begin at P&ID’S / Isometric drawing review for scoping handover systems and further defined into pressure testing and equipment installation packages. Fishbone performs third party auditing, document control, systems testing and commissioning services to provide our clients with improved control on their large capital projects.

SCOPE FOR TESTING

• Front-end development of system scoping and pipe pressure-testing program.
• System boundaries and pipe pressure-test limits are established as drawings become available from engineering.
• Scoped P&ID’s, isometric drawings, inspection records, and release notices are assembled into a test package format as early as possible.

INSTALLATION

• Equipment installation and construction maintenance practices that optimize performance and reliability.
• All skid mounted rotating equipment less than 200 HP is thoroughly inspected by criteria established in API-686 before being pre-grouted and shipped to site.
• Specific vendor maintenance and long-term storage requirements are identified and scheduled prior to equipment deliveries.

TESTING EXECUTION

• Piping pressure-test / restoration program specifically focused on system turnover.
• Our testing coordinators work closely with construction to prioritize bulk installations, thus supporting an aggressive hydro-testing and restoration schedule. Specific divisions of responsibility are identified with a clear understanding and commitment of what constitutes mechanical completion.

TRACKING AND AUDITING

• Automated tracking tools ensure timely transitions between construction, pipe pressure-testing, system turnover and start-up activities, reducing costly delays.

COMMISSIONING AND START-UP
